When you should come to Lofoten depends on your interests. The traditional Lofoten fishing season is usually from mid-February to mid-April, the Midnight sun is here from May 27th<\/sup> to July 17th, the warmest season is normally in July and August, the Northern lights can be seen on dark nights, normally from the end of August to the beginning of April.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhat is the weather like in Lofoten?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

The weather in Lofoten is changeable, and even in summer you must be prepared for cold days. We have a lot of wind at times, and a storm can come at any time of the year. The weather can change quickly, so keep an eye on the weather forecast<\/a> and have an alternative route in mind.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhen can I see the Northern lights?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

The northern lights can be seen from the end of August to the beginning of April. There are many good apps with aurora alerts. Our recommendation is the app My Aurora Forecast. The Northern Lights at our locations can often be seen right outside the door.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhen can I see the midnight sun?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

The midnight sun in our location is visible from May 27th to July 17th. The midnight sun can be seen in towards the north.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tHow do I check in to my accommodation since you do not have a reception?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

On the day of check-in, when your room is ready, usually between 12 noon and 3 pm, we will send an e-mail with the information you need to enter. It is therefore important that you have access to internet on the day of check-in. If your booking is made via booking.com, information will mainly be sent in the message center on your app.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tHow do I contact you during my visit?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

The easiest way to contact us is via the message center on booking.com app. if you have made the booking directly, the best way to contact us is to call. Text messages and e-mails are usually only answered during office hours on weekdays.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhere can I buy groceries?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

We have three grocery stores on Moskenes island. COOP at Reine and Matkroken and Joker at S\u00f8rv\u00e5gen. In addition, there is a good selection of groceries at Circle K in the centre of Reine.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tAre there restaurants and caf\u00e9s nearby?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

There are restaurants and caf\u00e9s all along the road from Hamn\u00f8y to \u00c5. We recommend that you contact the restaurants and caf\u00e9s directly for opening hours, as these vary from place to place and season to season.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhat activity is the best to join?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Which activities you should take part in depends on your interests. We offer trips on the Lofoten Sea and in Lofotodden National Park, with our fishing boat or RIB. For more information about our tours, see Activities<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There are also other activity providers on the island who offer, for example, kayaking or guided mountain tours in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tDo you have an age limit for your activities?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

We have no lower or upper age limit on our tours. We adapt the trips to our guests, and we have approved rescue equipment for all ages. However, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that a trip by speedboat can pose a risk. We therefore ask guests with previous back, neck and knee injuries, or guests who are pregnant to contact us directly before booking a RIB trip.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhat happens if I cannot come as planned?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

If you cannot come as planned, please contact us as soon as possible. If you book accommodation or activities directly with us, you have the right to change or cancel before 14 days before arrival. If you book accommodation via a third party, the cancellation deadline you selected when booking applies. See our terms and conditions for more information. If you cancel within 14 days before, your order will not be refunded. The same applies if you do not check in at the accommodation, or do not turn up for the activity.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhat happens if you cancel my booking?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Unforeseen events may occur for us, the weather may be bad, or we may not reach the minimum number to go out on tour. If we cancel the activity you are registered for, for whatever reason, you will receive a full refund for this activity.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tIs travel insurance included in my booking?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUtvid<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\tYou are insured through us when you participate in our activities.\nTravel insurance is not included in your booking. This means that travel to and from the meeting point for activities or accommodation, as well as any incidents that occur on the way there, are not covered by the insurance we provide for you. We therefore recommend that you make sure you have proper travel insurance when coming to Lofoten. Unexpected events can occur during your journey. Please note that bad weather is not considered an unexpected event – this is something anyone traveling to Lofoten should be prepared for.\n
